This website is being developed to promote
co-operative partnership activity and allow the wide range of businesses and
organisations to make themselves known to their fellow business colleagues.
Additionally, it will also assist those outside of Wrexham who might be
interested in finding out what types of businesses and organisations exist
to develop trading links etc…
The website has been organised to allow visitors to quickly find the types
of business and organisations they may be looking for. We welcome feedback
on ways to improve the website.
Any business or organisation wishing to have a FREE web page should
send their details by post to the address at the foot of this page.
There is little doubt that Wrexham is developing fast and there are a number
of key areas that confirm such improvements. These are:
Access: Car parks aim to be safe, attractive
and accessible, especially for those less mobile.
Safety: CCTV and crime and disorder strategies
make Wrexham a safe place to live, trade and shop. Recent comments indicate
it has a strong sense of community and people are welcoming.
Environment: Wrexham is keen to preserve its
heritage and many of the older buildings within the area are maintained in
excellent condition. For example the renovation of the War Memorial Hospital
by Yale College, General Station, St Giles Church, the College of Art Street
confirm the commitment of local politicians.
Education: Wrexham’s educational institutions
form part of the University of Wales and it is becoming a Campus town in
many respects. This adds to the air of excitement in Wrexham.
Sports: Wrexham’s football ground has hosted
both Rugby and Football international matches. There are numerous sports
centres, including a major tennis centre
Marketing: The local council vigorously promote
Wrexham as both a trading centre and tourist attraction. Many groups exist
to assist this work.
Supporting Development: CELTEC and the Welsh
Development Agency provide practical support for those businesses wishing to
develop and /or move into the area. |
